Webster University is one of the largest providers of graduate-level military education in the U.S., with more than 6,600 of Webster’s 22,000 students having a military connection. Located at the home campus in St. Louis, the Office of Military Affairs (OMA) serves military-connected students across the Webster University network, under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Mike Callan, USAF (Ret.), Associate Vice President for Military and Governmental Programs.
Military-focused student groups and clubs, including the Webster University Student Vet’s Organization, are under the direction of the OMA. Additionally, the OMA develops and delivers education programs related to all branches of the military, maintains Webster’s alliances with federal and state agencies and advises the University on areas for expansion for all branches of government at all levels including the Department of Defense’s student base for non-degree offerings, undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Goals of the OMA:
- Enhance relationships with all military branches
- Strengthen military student services
- Expand Webster’s military opportunities
