From June 26th until July 9th, Film Series patrons can rent Woman on the Beach. Seeking the isolation necessary to write his next feature, director Kim Jung-rae escapes Seoul for a quiet beach on the western coast of South Korea. However, as he looks for the natural coincidence and repeated imagery he hopes will influence his story, he indulges in the emotional fulfillment and heartache of two different women with a chance amount of things in common. Hong Sangsoo's Woman on the Beach explores the relationship between life and its artistic imitations; love and its hypocrisies; and moments of pure chance and the false coincidences they inspire.
