Understanding Dyslexia: What Educators Need to Know

This two-day informative seminar addresses what educators need to understand about dyslexia and the impacts of HB 2379 and SB638 on dyslexia screening, training, and accommodations. Topics covered are: a research-based definition; myths surrounding dyslexia; examination of the signs and symptoms of dyslexia; screening instruments; and classroom supportive strategies. Administrators, literacy coaches, reading interventionists, special educators, and classroom teachers will want to be a part of this professional development opportunity.
