When an aspiring musician child’s parents divorce, the young girl decides to live with whichever parent can provide her with a piano. Her father, Chen (Wang Qian-yuan of Zhang Yimou’s Shadow), tries and fails to buy or steal a piano, and, with no other options, sets out to build a piano from scratch.
