During the Fall 2019 semester, 42 students enrolled in two sections of COSC 2810 Systems Analysis & Design embarked on a project to redesign the Webster University parking ticket system. The goal of this "what-if" project was to convert the current system to a paperless ticketing system. A representative from the Public Safety Office initiated the project "request" and participated in a large-scale interview session with both classes. Students learned object-oriented analysis and design concepts and applied them to this real-world problem. Teams of two worked throughout the semester to create and document solutions. At the end of the semester, students developed 21 designs which were presented to their peers and instructors.
Lunch will be served.
