Talk to the Author: Mapping Modern Beijing

Interested in Chinese urban culture? Come talk with the author of Mapping Modern Beijing: Space, Emotion, Literary Topography (2017), Dr. Weijie Song, an Associate Professor of modern Chinese Literature and culture at Rutgers University. He is the first Anglophone scholar to present a book-length ‘literary topography’ of the modern city of Beijing. Join us in the interview moderated by Dr. Melody Yunzi Li, Assistant Professor in Chinese Studies, University of Houston, and ask questions about Beijing in literary representations.
