In the framework of its annual Trade Finance course, Prof. Rouben Indjikian is continuing inviting leading international experts to hold open lectures.
The Spring 1, 2023 lectures will take place from 11am to 1pm (CET), hybrid format, at Webster University Geneva Campus and through Zoom.
Prof. Indjikian invited three distinguished speakers covering the themes of digitalising trade finance and commodity trade finance. They will make the following presentations:
“Digitalising Trade Finance : Legal issues”, 13 February, by zoom
Robert Parson is a leading legal expert on commodities trade & finance and logistics, with strong interest in digitalisation of legally binding instruments such as contracts, bill of lading and L/C. British Parliament asked to present his expert view on digitalisation of trade finance.
“Digitalising Trade Finance: Operational issues”, 15 February, by Zoom
Jacob Katsman has created Global Trade Corporation (GTC), Canada in 2002 introducing at early stages his models of digitalisation of trade finance documents. Since recent merger of GTC with Komgo the latter became the biggest e-trade finance platform
“Commodity Trade Finance: problems and prospects”, 22 February, on Campus.
Hamdi Arman is one of the key figures in bank based commodity trade finance of Geneva, which is the leading global hub for commodity trade and finance. He is the Regional Head of Commodity Trade Finance, and a member of Regional Management Team of Credit Suisse -Geneva, as well as a member of the Executive Board of Swiss Trading and Shipping Association, the managing body of STSA.
