Senior Abram Wilson, composer, presents a recital in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree Bachelor of Music in Music Composition with an Emphasis in Concert Music.
Wilson presents a collection of original compositions developed during his time at Webster University. This senior recital features a meditative Pierrot ensemble, a fairytale-inspired string quartet, a Homeric set of art songs, a tribute to the surrealist world of David Lynch, a suite of expressionist dance pieces, and selections from a pop album. Together, these works explore themes of abstraction, myth, and movement in contemporary music.
Abram Wilson is a student of Kim Portnoy and David Werfelmann.
