About this Event
Free Event"The Politics and Economics of Neo-Colonialism in Post-Independent Africa"
After most African countries attained independence, the colonial powers still maintain close ties for purposes of economic control; political domination; strategic interests; and national prestige. What steps have Africans and their leaders taken to salvage themselves from the yokes of their former (and possibly new) colonial masters? Can Africa countries survive without external ties of dependency? These and other related questions will be addressed at this public lecture.
