Workshop Overview
Join us for an insightful workshop where we delve into the transformative power of rituals and routines in educational settings. This session, led by Chitra Subrahmanian, PhD, will guide participants through understanding the myriad benefits of these structured practices.
Objectives
In this workshop participants will learn about: 1. Rituals and routines and their benefits for. a. Educator self-care and well-being,
b. Student well-being and self-regulation.
c. Promoting, learning, creativity and organization in the classroom;
2. Principles and strategies for developing and implementing appropriate rituals and routines.
Trainer : Dr. Chitra Subrahmanian is a psychotherapist and educator working in Geneva. Born in India, she completed higher education in the United States, receiving a Masters in Counselor Education with a specialization in Community Counseling from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, and a Doctorate in Child Development and Family Studies with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University, Indiana.
Dr. Subrahmanian is currently Professor of Psychology and Counseling at Webster University, Geneva.
