Webster University Opera Studio presents “Deception, Desire, and Despair”. A Webster Presents event. Join Webster University Opera Studio for fully-staged scenes from operas under the guidance of Dr. Jacob Lassetter.
Including scenes from Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor (Otto Nicolai), Idomeneo (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), Roméo et Juliette (Charles Gounod), L’elisir d’amore (Gaetano Donizetti), Suor Angelica (Giacomo Puccini), and Nabucco (Giuseppe Verdi). Eighteen Webster students (17 singers and 1 violinist) present this scenes program, which is directed by Corinne Hayes and conducted by Scott Schoonover. Dr. Jacob Lassetter is artistic director and Dr. Karen Kanakis provides additional musical preparation.
