Trade Financing: Techniques, Trends and Transformation” by Alexander Malaket
 

Alexander R. Malaket, CITP, CTFP, is President of Canadian consultancy OPUS Advisory Services International Inc., established in 2001, focusing on trade finance/supply chain finance. Alexander is also Co-Founder, ESG Validation Ltd., London and Founding Partner, Prism Global Partners LLP, London. He has undertaken consultancy assignments and delivered training programs for clients, authored reports, assessments, and reviews, and has participated in or chaired international initiatives for industry bodies and other institutions. Mr. Malaket is contributing regularly to leading industry publications, speaks and chairs panels at top-tier conferences and is the author of “Financing Trade and International Supply Chains”, Gower/Ashgate Publishing, UK 2014 (now Taylor & Francis, UK). Alexander holds the designations of Certified International Trade Professional (FITT, Ottawa) and Certified Trade Finance Professional (ICC Academy, Singapore).

“Credit Insurance: Market Overview and Principles"

Christian Hendriks is Deputy General Manager of Credendo – Single Risk, which he joined in January 2013 as Head of sales development and underwriting. Since 2015, he is Member of the Management Board of Credendo – Single Risk. In September 2020, he has been elected Chairman of the Single Risk Committee of the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA). He came to Credendo with more than ten years of solid experience in credit and political risk insurance. Christian started his career at Swiss RE in Paris, and then joined UNISTRAT Assurances in 2000 as in-house lawyer to become senior underwriter at Unistrat-Coface. In 2008, he became Sales and Development Director at Coface in Switzerland. He holds a Master’s degree in finance of Ecole des Arts et Métiers, Paris and a Master’s degree in private Law of University of Warwick, Saarbrucken and Lille.

“Commodity Trade Finance” by Hamdi Arman

 

Hamdi Arman is a Managing Director in Credit Suisse, responsible for Commodity Trade Finance in Geneva. Hamdi joined Credit Suisse at the beginning of 2011 from Credit Europe Bank NV – Amsterdam, where he was also in charge of Commodity Finance and Corporate Banking. Earlier, Mr. Arman worked in the Corporate Banking Departments of Citibank and HSBC. Hamdi holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul, Turkey and an MBA Degree with Finance concentration from Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts.
