In this short feature (55 minutes) from 2007, Maya Da-Rin emerged nearly fully-formed as a filmmaker, already exploring themes and ideas that she would be mining for the next 10+ years. Here we're on a commercial boat between Santa Rosa and Iquitos, and in observation of the riders of the boat Da-rin has a vehicle to explore the braiding and divergence of Brazilian, Colombian, and Peruvian cultures.
