Kamikaze '89

(Wolf Gremm, 1982, West Germany, 106 min.)

In his last film role, legendary director Rainer Werner Fassbinder plays Jansen, an expert cop living in a dystopic future where a mysterious organization known as the The Combine controls all media. After The Combine's headquarters receives several bomb threats, Jansen is tasked with infiltrating the nefarious conglomerate. This cult classic features a hypnotic soundtrack by Edgar Forese of Tangerine Dream and a supporting cast comprised of cinema icons, including Franco Niro (Django Unchained) and Brigitte Mira (Ali:  Fear Eats the Soul) in her last collaboration with Fassbinder.
