Featuring The Worst Person in the World’s two leads, Renate Reinsve and Anders Danielsen Lie, and with a script co-written by Let the Right One In’s John Ajvide Lindqvist, director Thea Hvistendahl’s Handling the Undead is a zombie drama that wrestles with grief and loss, rather than our more common zombie horror film. The premise, loosely, is that one day the dead inexplicably all come back to life, with the film examining in an intimate way how three different families across Oslo deal with the unexpected return of their lost loved ones: a lost son, a lost partner, and a lost wife.
