Join us for an evening to learn about stories of refugee children from a Saint Louis City Public School through screening of the film “Day One”

Viewing is FREE and opened to the public!

“Day One” follows a group of refugee children who attended a program at the Nahed Chapman Academy at Roosevelt High School in 2016.

The film maker spent a year documenting how trauma-informed schools can help nurturing
at-risk children to make a transition during this difficult moment in their lives.

• Describe the various ways that trauma counseling might be necessary for immigrant and refugee youth
• Identify ways that the community can be supportive of immigrant and refugees
