From 11/27 to 12/10, Film Series patrons can rent Fire Will Come. Spanish/French director Oliver Laxe was recently cited by Bong Joon-ho as one of the directors to watch in the 2020s, and Bong says of Laxe's new film, Fire Will Come, that it is "arguably his most fully achieved work." In it, we follow a quiet man with an inscrutable face, Amador, as he is released from a two-year prison sentence for arson. Amador goes back to his mother's farm in Galicia to work, all the while locals eye him with suspicion. With a Herzogian flare and beautifully shot on 16mm, Fire Will Come will occupy your thoughts for a long time after watching.
