  rich palette of Poe’s evocative imagery and sharply drawn plots to help
  bring new understanding to his life\, his place in American art and histo
 ry\, and the iconic position he holds in popular culture around the world.
  \n\nThis film has received a production grant from the National Endowment
  for the Humanities\, and will be broadcast on the acclaimed PBS arts and 
 culture series American Masters. Director Eric Stange\, a visiting fellow 
 with the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation\, will answer quest
 ions following the screening.\n\n \n\nMarch 8: 'Echoes of History in a New
  Media'\n\nEarlier in the week as part of Stang'es visit as visiting fello
 w\, he will deliver a talk in the "Critical Conversations for a Connected 
 World" series.\n\nHis topic on March 8 is  "Echoes of History in a New Med
 ia Landscape."
