About this Event
Free EventThe MCISA is proud to present our annual "Get on the Bus" day trip! This term we will be going to Indianapolis to the Conner Prairie Museum for the "Follow the North Star."
Participants travel back to the year 1836 and assume the role of fugitive slaves seeking freedom on the Underground Railroad through the state. Going as a group, you will encounter a variety of characters, ranging from sympathetic allies to racist antagonists. It is a powerful experience that generates empathy, provokes discussion, and immerses visitors in this important part of our nation’s history. Two-hour program; start times staggered every 15 minutes.
