A book lunch and public talk by Dr. Catalina Woldarsky Meneses, Webster University Geneva, part of the Psychology and Society Group meetings.
Forgiveness is a powerful, transformative process that can be facilitated in therapy. Summarizing findings from 20 years of research on forgiveness and letting go, Greenberg and Woldarsky Meneses’ book (2019) illustrates how to promote clients' ownership of their emotional experience, empower clients to appropriately assign responsibility for harm done, and help clients access the resources and resilience to recover from an emotional injury.
You are cordially invited to attend a book launch hosted by Catalina Woldarsky Meneses and learn about the process of forgiveness in Emotion-focused Therapy. Clinical examples will be presented to illustrate the empirically based guidelines to help clients overcome the emotional pain stemming from a betrayal.
