From June 19th to July 2nd, Film Series patrons can rent Aviva. An official SXSW selection and self-funded passion project from director Boaz Yakin, Aviva, tells the story of a lively romance built on a fantasy. Expressed mostly through choreographed dance numbers and the embodiment of characters through multiple actors and multiple genders, this New York and LA-based film offers a vibrant look at love and heartbreak across time and space. In collaboration with well-known American choreographer Bobbi Jene Smith (who also serves as the lead dancer and actress), Yakin offers a look at romance on a grand scale.
