Longtime filmmaker and Webster U. film professor Roy Zurick --  born Roy Dzurick and known professionally as R D Zurick -- died this year on Oct. 6. Roy contributed immeasurably to the St. Louis film scene on multiple fronts, and this program will pay tribute to his cinematic legacy. Roy's wife of more than two decades, A. Sumitra "Mimi" (Ariyawangso) Dzurick, will welcome attendees, and the program will include a spiritual ceremony marking Roy's death. A selection of Roy's many friends, colleagues, and students will offer brief remembrances, clips from a few of Roy's favorite films will screen, and the evening will conclude with a sampling of his own video work.
