Starring and executive produced by Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World, Handling the Undead, A Different Man) and from debut writer/director Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel (grandson of Ingmar Bergman and Liv Ullmann), Armand tells the story of actress Elisabeth (Reinsve) who is called to school in the aftermath of an incident involving her six-year-old son, Armand. Leaning into the uncanny feeling that comes along with being nearly alone in a school after hours, Armand was Norway’s submission to the Academy for Best International Film (making the shortlist) and premiered in the Un Certain Regard sidebar at Cannes 2024.
