Free admission, held in the Sverdrup Building, room 123, on the campus of Webster University.
The Flaherty Seminar is a programmer-forward film festival of sorts, this year held at the Thai Film Archive in Salaya, Thailand. We are hosting a pod which will screen four of this year's programs while the main festival is on. This year's programmers are May Adadol Ingawanij and Julian Ross; we collectively give them our trust and won't know what exactly we will be sitting down to watch until it begins. Free and open to the public, and while not compulsory, advance registration is much appreciated. (Click the "Register" button; be sure to pick "Saint Louis, MO, USA" from the drop-down list at the top.) No need to commit to any specific show(s) at the time of registration. Patrons are encouraged to come to as many or as few as they would like. Further details will be sent to those who register. Each program will include a discussion led by Webster Film Series director Pete Timmermann; filmmaker and Film Series coordinator Angela Guo; and/or filmmaker and artist Andrea Callard. Discussion time is not reflected in the above-cited runtime.
All films presented in their native language and with English subtitles.
In collaboration with St. Louis-based artist and filmmaker Andrea Callard.
