Floyd Norman presents his life and work as part of Kinematifest 10. Back in the
mid-1950s, Mr. Norman was the first black animator ever to be hired by Disney. His
cartooning career spans 60 years... and counting. He�s still working today, at age 81. He
will share a lifetime of stories. Floyd has worked on SLEEPING BEAUTY, MARY POPPINS,
JUNGLE BOOK, 101 DALMATIONS, SESAME STREET, SCOOBY-DOO, TOY STORY 2, MONSTERS, INC.,
ROBOT CHICKEN, and many other important animated films and television shows.  Space is

Kinematifest is Webster University’s International Animation and Interactive Media festival. The mission is to showcase student work and foster a worldwide interest in animation and interactive media striving to give students an opportunity to have their work critiqued by industry professionals, facilitate networking opportunities and advocate learning through workshops and seminars.
