Faculty Discussion Nov. 25: Short-Term Study Abroad Teaching/Learning Issues

The Faculty Development Center and 2014-15 faculty fellow Quinn Shao invite faculty and staff to an informal discussion on teaching-and-learning issues presented by short-term study abroad.

This discussion, Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. in the Faculty Development Center, will feature Quinn’s project, “Short-Term Study Abroad for Learning in the Discipline.”

Quinn will discuss her review of relevant literature and examples from her most recent process of organizing her course to incorporate meaningful travel and experiential learning.

The purpose of this discussion is to gather from attendees thoughts about related topics, issues and ideas, with particular emphasis on capturing examples of instructional approaches that significantly enhance course topics.
