Conversation with Flora Lauten, Cuban director

Webster University welcomes back to campus the internationally acclaimed Cuban theatrical director Flora Lauten, in one of her very few visits to the United States.  Lauten is sitting down with the Conservatory’s own Gad Guterman for A Conversation with Flora Lauten.

The two will talk before an audience in the Winifred Moore Auditorium about her extraordinary life, from being crowned the last Miss Cuba in 1960 to becoming a prize winning theater director in Havana, to co-founding Teatro Buendia, Cuba’s premier theatre group, to her current production of Deseo, a Spanish-language version of Tennessee Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire

The 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. event is free, and all are welcome, with food and drink being served after the conversation ends.
