The Sisters of Loretto, the founders of Webster University in 1915, have been described as innovative, entrepreneurial, fearless and visionary. They opened the then-named Loretto College in 1915 with only five students. Today, over 20,000 students attend Webster worldwide. On November 1, 2014, we pay homage to these bold and courageous women who set out to change the future - one student at a time. Today, we all benefit from their vision and tenacity and we celebrate those characteristics in Webster's DNA that are as much present today as they were in 1915.
Join us for an evening of reflection, remembering and looking toward the future - pairing conversation with appetizers, main course and dessert. This special Signature Centennial event is hosted by the Sisters of Loretto. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the stories of Webster University Founders - in their own words.
