On Nov. 1, 1915, the Webster Hall cornerstone was laid. On that day, the Sisters of Loretto, representatives from the St. Louis Diocese and community members gathered to celebrate the founding of a new University. A small mass was also held at the location that day.
Join the Sisters of Loretto 100 years later for an interfaith celebration as we recognize this historic occasion at 2:30 p.m. in Winifred Moore Auditorium on campus. An Interfaith Service of Prayer and Thanksgiving for Webster’s 100th Anniversary will be held. Afterward, there will be a reception.
There will be music during the event, including a performance of the new Alma Mater. This event is open to the entire community.
