Alliance for Interracial Dignity: St. Louis & Race: Past, Present, Future

The next Alliance for Interracial Dignity meeting is Thursday, September 14, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Webster Groves Christian Church located on the southwest corner of Lockwood and Berry Road. 


This meeting will feature Dr. Terry Jones discussing “St. Louis and Race:  Past, Present and Future.”  Jones, a professor of political science at UMSL, will discuss the weight of history in the St. Louis region, the historical movement of populations, and race and public policy. The talk will cover the historical movement of populations in the St. Louis area and how public policy has affected where people live.


The Alliance is currently focused on only a few key areas in which we want to take positive actions. Our focus areas include:


  • Building Relationships
  • Program Planning for Continued Learning Together
  • Policy Influence
  • Policing

Next Meeting:  Thursday, October 12th, 2017 featuring a panel of local citizens discussing their experience growing up and living in the 63119 area as a person of color
