In an adaptation of the 1935 fantasy novel "The Circus of Dr. Lao" by Charles G. Finney, Dr. Lao (Tony Randall), a Chinese showman, uses his magical powers to save Abalone, Arizona, from greed as residents position themselves to profit from the railroad coming through town. Along with Randall’s fantastic multiple roles, the film co-stars Arthur O’Connell, Barbara Eden, and John Ericson.
