The performances were interesting because of the different selection of musical pieces. The choir voices are fantastic, and I agree with with one of the assistant conductors that the members' personalities provide beauty to the music. What really moved me was the final piece - the University alma mater. I wish the choir would record another CD and include "Webster U., You Are Our Home."
The party afterwards was decent. The ceremony was a joke. They didn't even mention any of the current graduates. They plugged their programs and talked about people who already graduated. Didn't feel appreciated at all by it and there weren't even that many students graduating. For those not walking in May it was a huge letdown.
A very good concert. I was not familiar with the composers, but I now have an appreciation for the music. Several years ago, I took lessons for classical guitar, so it was great to hear John McClellan remind me how difficult it is to play, and how lovely is the sound of the classical guitar.
